Biochemistry is a specific lab department which the blood serum is analyzed to identify the presence of substances, like blood sugar, enzymes, lipids, hormones, and substrates. Other than blood, other body fluids, like urine, cerebrospinal fluid are also tested. To identify several diseases, many general tests are also conducted, like calcium level, phosphate level, magnesium level, and lipase level are tested. The point-care-tests are also carried out under this section, wherein, the total protein, glucose, Sr. bilirubin and urea levels are measured. At our lab, the samples from the patients, hospitals or clinics are collected in plastic or glass tubes.
